The name Pangeia or Pangea comes from the name Pangeae and it was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras. It assembled from earlier continental units approximately 335 million years ago, and it began to break apart about 175 million years ago. In contrast to the present Earth and its distribution of continental mass, Pangaea was centred on the Equator and surrounded by the superocean Panthalassa.

Moinho Pangeia

The original windmill dates from 1897 and was part of an architectural group of mills that, along the coast, grind the grain of the farmers who lived there. The new constructed windmill is a reference in the development of innovative housing solutions that fit in the existing landscape. Because it’s important to preserve indigenous natural elements that remained to us throughout the ages and preserve the cultures and habits of the people. The interconnection of sustainable construction with the nature of the place, are contributing to the recovery of the region known for excellence!
